DENMARK -- Voorhees College recently crowned Lakavis Williams and Diamond Jamison as Mr. and Miss Homecoming 2019 during the Student Government Association (SGA) Homecoming chapel service.

Voorhees raises $10,700 during UNCF luncheon

Williams is a senior computer science major from Atlanta. He is a member of the Eta Iota Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Track and Field Team. Additionally, Williams serves as the head lifeguard for the institution’s pool.

He is the middle sibling of two brothers and the son of Tracy Williams and Jeffrey Campbell. After graduation, Williams plans to further his education at Norfolk State University to pursue a master’s degree in cybersecurity.

Jamison is a senior sports management major from Norway, S.C. She is a member of the Eta Omicron Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Additionally, Jamison previously served as the business manager on the 2018-2019 SGA.

She is the youngest daughter of Charlie and Nichelle Jamison, and granddaughter of Ruth Frederick.

Voorhees prepares for Homecoming 2019 alumni events

After graduation, Jamison said she plans to continue her education in Atlanta. She also aspires to work for the Atlanta Falcons or the Atlanta Hawks as an athletic trainer.
