This summer, Simeon L. Gordon, of Orangeburg, joined other outstanding high school students from across the nation in attending a unique academic and career oriented development experience, Envision Game and Technology Academy at George Mason University located in Fairfax, Virginia.
Envision Game and Technology Academy is one of the Envision family of programs that enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom.
Gordon is a rising junior at Edisto High School and an honor student who was nominated by one of his high school teachers for the Envision Game and Technology Academy experience. Gordon's aspirations are to become a computer programmer and gaming artist.
Envision Game and Technology Academy was a great opportunity for Gordon and other high-achieving scholars to get outside the classroom and see, through hands-on interactive learning, how to innovate and think creatively.
Since 1985, Envision programs have served more than 800,000 students in more than 145 countries, with programs designed to help students develop the leadership, scholarship and career skills needed to succeed in today’s competitive college and career landscape.
Gordon is the son of Angela Gordon and the late Sandor L. Gordon.
