ELLOREE -- The Elloree Heritage Museum and Cultural Center’s upcoming Victorian Tea promises to be “a lovely time” for all, said Kay Shirer, the museum’s administrative director.
“A Winter Wonderland Tea” will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the museum. Tickets are $20 per person.
“You can do it one of two ways – you can just buy a ticket and come, and the tables will be set and you’ll have a place at one of the tables,” Shirer said.
“Or if somebody wanted to decorate their own table (for six), they or their group could buy six tickets and have a table of their own and bring their own teapot, their own sugar and creamer, their own teacups.”
The museum will provide all the food and condiments, napkins and tablecloths, Shirer said.
“You can do it either way,” she said.
There will be entertainment as well.
“It will be a really special time for ladies to visit or spend time with friends and just take a couple hours off for the day,” Shirer said.
Tickets can be purchased by calling the museum at 803-897-2225.
All proceeds from the tea will benefit the programs and exhibits of the Elloree Heritage Museum and Cultural Center.
The museum is located at 714 West Cleveland St. in downtown Elloree.
