SPRINGFIELD -- Plenty of pickin’ and grinnin’ will be on tap on Saturday, Jan. 19, in Springfield.
The 6th Annual Bluegrass Jamming in January will generate lots of toe-tapping from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Springfield School at 210 Brodie St.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Old Springfield High School Restoration Project.
The outstanding lineup of bluegrass bands slated to perform include the award-winning Palmetto Blues of the Midlands (6-6:50 p.m.). The acclaimed Giddy Swamp Gullywashers will perform from 7-7:50 p.m, and Flatland Express, another popular band, will play from 8-8:50 p.m.
Rooms will be available with paid admission for jam sessions starting at 4 p.m., and food and beverages will be sold. To-go plates will also be available.
Tickets are $8 per person in advance or $10 at the door. Children 13 and under get in free with an adult.
