EHRHARDT -- The Miss Schuetzenfest Beauty Pageant was held recently in the Ehrhardt Auditorium.
The stage and background were decorated with a large blue glittery crown that had silver glitter trim. Greenery was scattered at intervals along the stage to create a scene for the beauties who walked the stage.
Ehrhardt Mayor William Stanley welcomed the crowd, which was filled with parents, friends and family of the contestants. The mayor then introduced Chairman Eunice Sease and Emcee Amy Waltz. Waltz introduced each category and read out the specifics for each girl as they promenaded across the stage. She began with Baby Miss, then Toddlers Miss, Wee Miss, Little Miss, Young Miss, Teen Miss and then the finale Miss Schuetzenfest.
Skye Amberlee Fairrington of Swansea was selected as the 2019 Miss Schuetzenfest. Fairrington is the 18-year-old daughter of Ralph and Lynne Culler Fairrington of Swansea. She is a 2019 graduate of Connections Academy, where she graduated with honors. Fairrington is a Level 9 State Champion in competitive gymnastics as well as a horse enthusiast and rider. She coaches gymnastics and plans to become a cosmotologist.
Chairman Sease thanked everyone for participating and coming out to join the town of Ehrhardt to celebrate selecting its queens.
