Pansy Clayton, artwork

Artist Pansy Clayton of Ehrhardt stands with her painting, "Mallard Ducks." Clayton will exhibit her artwork at the Jim Harrison Gallery during the month of August. An artist reception will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, in Denmark.

DENMARK -- The Jim Harrison Gallery in Denmark will host an artist reception for Ehrhardt native Pansy Clayton from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, in Denmark.

Clayton has been doing artwork since before grade school and was discovered by her first grade teacher, Zeita Hiers. She took art one year in high school using watercolors, but Clayton says she prefers oil because she likes to paint people more than any other subject.

The Jim Harrison Art Gallery will showcase Clayton's work from Aug. 2-29. She recently released a new print, "Mallard Ducks," which will be on display during the exhibit.
