Battle of Eutaw Springs

The annual commemoration of the Battle of Eutaw Springs, fought 239 years ago in the Revolutionary War, was held Sept. 5 at the battlefield site. The battle is recognized as a turning point in the war, with the British deciding they could not win the war in the South. Camden Judge David Paul Reuwer was the speaker, encouraging the crowd to take note of the monuments at the site. They “prompt us to learn our history.”
