DENMARK - JB Martial Arts in Orangeburg will hold a special "Fight for a Cure" event to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at Bethel Park United Methodist Church in Denmark.

The fight is in honor of Rob Lee, a student at the martial arts school who was diagnosed with CF when he was 15 months old.

At the event, Lee will spar Master James Bowman, owner of JB Martial Arts. Demonstrations will also be conducted by other martial arts students, and hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available for purchase.

Donations can be mailed to Lee at 614 McCain Drive, Denmark. All proceeds will go to the CFF in support of its annual Great Strides walk events.

For more information about the CFF or Great Strides, visit cff.org. For more information about Saturday's event or CF, call Gwen Lee at 803-793-4451.
