Orangeburg County Farm Bureau has made a $10,000 donation in support of the Downtown Orangeburg Revitalization Association’s pavilion project.
The pavilion, which will be located at 1326 Russell St., will house DORA and community events and be the permanent home of the Downtown Orangeburg Farmers Market.
The market has grown significantly since its opening season five years ago. Each week during the market's May-August run, local farmers bring everything from fresh produce to local milk and yogurt to the square to meet the needs of an average of 300 weekly shoppers.

DORA has also partnered with community organizations such as the Orangeburg County Library, MOVE with Celeste, and the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control to provide educational and entertaining components to the market.
The South Carolina Farm Bureau is a federation of 47 county Farm Bureaus. Orangeburg County Farm Bureau has been supporting farmers since 1961 and states that it is proud to partner with DORA in making the pavilion a reality.
