Calhoun pesticide applicator license training
The Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service in Calhoun County will offer a private pesticide applicator license certification training on Wednesday, March 6.
The training will last from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be held at the Tri-County Electric Cooperative at 6473 Old State Road in St. Matthews.
State and federal laws require anyone who purchases or uses pesticides to have at least a current private applicators license or to be working under the supervision of someone who has a license.
Class materials will be prepared for each participant so preregistration is required by March 5.
The cost of the training is $100.
Payment will be accepted at the door (cash or check made out to Clemson University.

Orangeburg pesticide applicator training
The Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service in Orangeburg County will offer a private pesticide applicator license certification training on Saturday, March 16.
The training will last from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1550 Henley St., 2nd Floor, Suite 200.
The private pesticide applicator license is intended for agricultural producers who must purchase, use or supervise the use of restricted-use pesticides on their operation.
This is not a certification for homeowners, commercial applicators or pest control operators.
If you currently hold a pesticide applicators license, you can attend the program to earn recertification hours.
The initial training is approved for three hours of recertification credit.
