LAKE MARION HIGH SCHOOL Class of Ashley Alexis Stevens Class of 2019 Valedictorian 2019 Ashley Alexis Stevens, born on August 6, 2001, is the daughter of Jassin Liburd. She resides in Santee, South Carolina. During her academic career at Lake Marion High School and Technology Center, Ashley has participated in various clubs and activities such as: Army Junior ROTC, Tennis Club, Beta Club, Principal’s Cabinet, Soccer, Debate Team, Student Council, FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), KISS (Keeping In School Safe), and Student Improvement Council. In addition to her school endeavors, Ashley is thoroughly involved in numerous community activities such as: Wigs4Kids, March of Dimes, Tutoring, Breast Cancer Walk, Relay for Life Walk, 5k Run/Walk and Health Fair, Greater Unity Food Drive , Red Cross Disaster relief, Red Cross Blood Drive, Halloween Treats for Special Education students, Easter Baskets for elementary students, Something Pink Domestic Violence Drive, Thanksmas Food Drive, Sponsor A Family for Christmas, Homeless Shelter, and Magnolia Nursing Home. After graduation, Ashley is planning to attend the University of San Francisco as a Pre-Law Major with a concentration of Business. She aspires to become a corporate lawyer. Talijah Danielle-Michelle Guess Class of 2019 Salutatorian Talijah Danielle-Michelle Guess, better known as Lee, is the proud daughter of Retired Army Sergeant First Class Talmon Guess Jr. and Army Veteran Dawn M. Guess. Talijah is the little sister of Talshawna Guess, Jaycee Wade, and Talkea Guess-Shaw. She is also the big sister of Shaniya Salley and Talmon Guess IV. Talijah has excelled at Lake Marion High School & Technology Center, where she remained on the Principal’s List throughout her entire academic career. At Lake Marion, Talijah is a part of many clubs and organizations such as Beta Club (Parliamentarian), Family Career and Community Leaders of America (Vice President of Competitive Events), SCSU Gear Up, Keeping In School Safe, Debate Team, SkillsUSA, National Honor Society, and is the 2019 Varsity Track & Field Regional Long Jump Champion. After graduation, Talijah plans on attending North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where she aspires to obtain her BS in Computer Engineering. After completing her Computer Engineering Degree, she will continue to strive for her MS in Science and Engineering. Her ultimate goal is to develop and patent programs to globally impact our underdeveloped states and countries.
