ST. GEORGE -- Dorchester Academy (6-3, 2-2) defeated Palmetto Christian Academy 54-24 on Friday.

Lance Brownlee was 15-20 passing for 207 yards and four touchdowns, Brownlee also rushed eight times for 83 yards and one touchdown. Colby Weeks rushed 15 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns, Weeks also had five receptions for 84 yards.

Jack Berry rushed four times for 54 yards, Rhett Mizzell had four receptions for 47 yards and three touchdowns, Brody Marchant had four catches for 69 yards and a touchdown.

On defense, Weeks led the team with six tackles.

With Dorchester's win and Colleton Prep's loss, Dorchester finishes second in the region and will host a first round playoff game next week.

Weston Davis had 8 tackles for CA, while Caleb Crosby had 7. Matt Layton had a fumble recover for CA. 

The Cavaliers finished the season 1-8 and 1-0 in Region play.

ST. MATTHEWS -- Batesburg-Leesville took a 48-6 win over Calhoun County on Friday.

Andrew Isgett was 17-27 passing with 207 yards, one touchdown, three interceptions and one punt that went 40 yards. Willie Brown caught six passes for 121 yards and Ster’Lyn Evans caught eight passes for 66 yards with one touchdown and Evans also returned two kickoffs for 29 yards total.

The Saints (2-8, 1-4) will travel to Carvers Bay next Friday at 7:30 p.m.

MOCKS CORNER -- Holly Hill Academy picked up a 26-18 win over St. John’s Christian on Friday night.

The Raiders were led by Demetrius Abraham with 11 rushes for 71 yards, Evan Boyd with three catches for 102 yards and Grayson Hopkins scored on a quarterback sneak.

Boyd scored on an 88 yard pass from Hopkins to tie the score in the fourth quarter, Boyd then scored the go-ahead touchdown with an interception returned for a touchdown.

On defense, Boyd had one interception for a touchdown and 13 tackles, Abraham had 2 interceptions and Hopkins scored on a fumble recovery.

The Raiders finished the regular season 3-7 and 0-2, which puts them at third place in the region.

MT. PLEASANT - Oceanside Collegiate shut out Orangeburg Prep 44-0 on Friday.

Orangeburg Prep finished the regular season 6-4, while Oceanside finished 7-3.

OPS was led defensively by seniors Bill Metts with 13 tackles, Matheson Wanamaker with 9 tackles, Parker Kuck with seven tackles, Andrew Brickle with 5 tackles, and Collin Bair with four tackles and a sack. Juniors John Henry Reynolds and Hunter Shafer had seven tackles apiece, with Reynolds adding a sack. Sophomore Will Summers had an interception.

Offensively for the Indians, Metts, Brickle, and Colin Bair led the team rushing, behind the blocking of William Garner, Wannamaker, Darby Self, Joshua Hutto, Braxton Wannamaker, David Jones, and Thomas Brandon. Trace Furtick completed two passes to Kuck, while Summers and Evan Lambrecht had a reception apiece.
