“I can’t say enough about our players and our staff,” head coach Dabo Swinney said. “The guys were locked in and ready to go...and I thought Kelly Bryant was outstanding, great decisions with our scheme and what we were trying to do.
“We’re going into November and that’s where we wanted to be was one of the teams that have a chance to win the division and if you win the division you’ve got a chance to win the conference and that’s where we wanted to be.”
However, it was not only Bryant who drew the praise of Swinney -- it was the fans who showed up and braved the conditions.
“They were incredible, I told my team that before the game, ’Can you believe this? You have people who drive out and just sit there in the rain and it’s a packed house,’” Swinney said. “What a privilege to be able ot play a game and have so many people care and show up. It’s one of the greatest venues to be at and trust me, I know it’s not like this everywhere.”
