Voorhees 76, Barber Scotia 70

DENMARK — Voorhees College ran its record to 11-8 on the year with a 76-70 victory over Barber Scotia on Saturday.

Voorhees will be back in action Monday, with a doubleheader against Morris College. The women play at 6 p.m., with the men’s game following.

The victory was led by James Williams with a game-high 26 points, while Andre Datcher had 14 and Sam Dotson 11.

Barber Scotia was led by Aaron Davis with 24 points.

Orangeburg-Calhoun Prep 83, Greenville Tech 71

Orangeburg-Calhoun Prep suffered its first loss since Nov. 10 when they dropped an 83-71 decision to Greenville Tech on Saturday.

OCP, now 14-4, had last lost at Voorhees two months ago. They play this coming Thursday against Augusta Independent at 7 p.m. at Howard Middle School.

OCP was led by Shykeem Marlow with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Brannon Dark had 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 steals, while Will Daniels had 16 points and Danny Portee added 8 assists.


Orangeburg Prep 49, Dorchester Academy 41

OPS improved to 11-6 with the victory, with D. Murray leading the way with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

K. Stokes added 10 points for the Indians, traveling to North on Tuesday.

Dorchester, now 10-5, was led by S. Brownlee with 14 points. R. Smoak added 8 and J. Weathers hit 7 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.


Orangeburg Prep 46, Dorchester Academy 41

Elizabeth Rheney led the victory with 12 points, while Amber Robinson and Julia bonnette each added 11 points.

Lake Marion 55, Cross 46

Jasmine Jamison led Lake Marion to victory Saturday evening with 14 points.

Lake Marion improved to 7-8 overall and 1-1 in region play. They meet Timberland on Tuesday.


Lake Marion 74, Cross 33

The Lake Marion squad kept their undefeated record alive at 7-0 with the victory.

Getting ready to host Timberland on Monday, Lake Marion was led by Jeremy Fludd with 21 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Also scoring for Lake Marion were Michael Rhodes with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists, Jabarus Saxon with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, Walter Shaw with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 10 assists, and Jermariez Green with 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Orangeburg Prep 39, Dorchester Academy 37

The Indians gained their third victory of the year to improve to 3-8 with the win.

Scheduled Tuesday against North, OPS was led by C. Stewart with 10 points, while T. Brown added 8, Cameron Johnson had 7 and Chris Johnson had 6.

Dorchester, slipping to 8-4 and scheduled against South Aiken on Tuesday, was led by A. Mizzell’s game-high 19 points, with C. Cleland and H. Bozard adding 5 each.


Orangeburg Prep 40, Dorchester Academy 22

Victoria Williams led the victory with 18 points.



Lake Marion 80, Lee Central 59

SANTEE — A quintet of players scored in double figures for the top-ranked Gators Friday night.

Christopher Turner led Lake Marion with 15 points, followed by Derionte Jenkins with 14, Michael Williams with 13, Khalil Halls with 12 and Torrence Wright with 10.
