entry to S.C. State
football on Friday
All current college students with a valid student identification will be admitted for free to this Friday night's 7:30 p.m. Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference football game between Morgan State University and South Carolina State University at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium.
All area students from any college, especially S.C. State and nearby Claflin University, Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, Southern Methodist College, Voorhees College and Denmark Technical College, are encouraged to attend and enjoy.
The game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
Friday night's game will also be Business & Industry/Family & Faith/Faculty & Staff Appreciation night.

Calhoun Academy beat Dorchester Academy 30-26 on Wednesday to improve to 4-0 this season.
Matt Layton scored 5 rushing touchdowns behind the offense line of Kade Strickland, Lane Noe, Chase Cooper, Cameron Crosby, Hunter Summers, Ben Ott, and Mac Felder.
Layton also had 8 tackles and an interception, while Adam Lowder had 7 tackles and 2 sacks. Andrew Tucker had 5 tackles for the Cavaliers.

SUMMERTON - Clarendon Hall took a 3-1 win against Jefferson Davis on Tuesday to move its record to 7-6. Set scores were 25-17, 15-25, 25-23 and 25-8.
The Lady Saints were led by Ava English with 23 service points and 4 aces. Madison Kidd added 19 points and 3 aces and Sara James had 16 points.

SUMMERTON - Clarendon Hall remained undefeated with a 2-0 home win against Jefferson Davis on Wednesday, moving the JV Lady Saints to 13-0 on the season.
Set scores were 25-5 and 25-12.
The JV Lady Saints were led by Aubrey Edwards with 18 service points and 5 aces, while Amberly Way had 16 points, 7 aces.
Clarendon Hall will be at home on Thursday against St. Johns Christian at 4 p.m.
A.C. Flora 2,
COLUMBIA - The JV Bruinettes lost 2-0 on the road Wednesday, with set scores of 25-14 and 25-13 at A.C. Flora.
O-W (5-5 record) plays next at Dreher on Thursday.
The Stan "Cobe" Bryant Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, October 9 at Linrick Golf Course, 856 Camp Ground Road in Columbia.
The tournament, which is a fundraiser for the Bamberg scholarship that Bryant and Rev. Charles B. Jackson Jr. (an S.C. State alumnus) establish, has a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
