GREENWOOD — New series, same old dilemma for Orangeburg Post 4.

Wednesday’s best-of-five American Legion baseball playoff series opener against Greenwood Post 20 at John Nave Stadium was postponed due to rain.

“Chalk up another one to Mother Nature,” Post 4 head coach Frank Leysath said.

The two teams will try to complete Game 1 at 7:30 p.m. tonight, with Game 2 pushed back to Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Mirmow Field.

Games 3 and 5, if necessary, will take place in Greenwood on Saturday and Monday. Game 4 in Orangeburg, if necessary, will take place Sunday.

The winner will advance to the American Legion state tournament starting July 26 in Sumter.
