ST. MATTHEWS — Demetrius Odom and K.C. Crosby each scored three touchdowns to lead the Red Raiders to a Region 5-AA victory over the Saints Friday.

Odom’s first two touchdown runs of 5 and 10 yards put B-E up 14-0 in the first quarter. With 1:37 left in the quarter, quarterback Terrance Whitmore completed an 18-yard touchdown pass.

Odom scored for the third time with 6:06 left in the second quarter on a 3-yard run. On B-E’s next series, Crosby took the handoff from quarterback Sumner Cooler and scored on a 15-yard run to make it 27-7.

The Saints’ Dekembre Brown intercepted a Cooler pass and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown with 4:13 left in the fourth quarter. B-E answered with two touchdowns in less than a minute to end the first half, first on a 2-yard run by Cooler and a 40-yard interception return by Crosby.

In the fourth quarter, the Saints scored 12 unanswered points before Crosby answered with a 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

B-E (6-1, 1-1) plays host to Wade Hampton next week, while Calhoun County (1-6, 0-2) travels to Barnwell.
