The No. 3 seed Claflin Panthers fell 89-64 in the second round of South Region bracket play against No. 7 seed Barry Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon inside Forbes Arena on the campus of Morehouse College in Atlanta.

The Panthers finished their SIAC-championship postseason run with a 26-6 overall record.

Barry University (21-8 record) - from Miami Shores, Florida - advanced to play in Tuesday's region title game against Sunday night's winner between No. 8 seed Florida Southern and No. 4 seed Eckerd.

Claflin trailed Barry by 30 points at the half, 56-26.

Barry made 14 of of its 30 3-pointers for 42 of its 89 points. Claflin only made 2 of its 20 3-pointers.

The Panthers were led by senior guard Benjamin "Tre" Williams with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, along with senior center Jaleel Charles with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

Sawyer Glick (Columbus, Indiana) led Barry with 22 points, including going 6-of-11 from 3-point range. Daniel Mortensen (Islev, Denmark) added 15 points and 7 rebounds for Barry, while Evan Walshe (Tring, England) added 11 points, 5 rebounds for the Buccaneers.

As it was in the SIAC Championship game against Clark Atlanta and in Saturday's regional win against Clark Atlanta, Claflin was without starting power forward Austin Lawton (6-foot-9, 255 pounds, Lake Marion High School) due to injury.
