A 28-year-old Bamberg woman was arrested and charged in connection with an assault on her roommate on Oct. 23.
Shannon Glory Edwards of 62 Houser Street faces charges of aggravated assault, vandalism of property, failure to comply and threatening a public official.
When police responded to the call at 3:45 a.m. at the Houser Street residence, the 58-year-old male victim, who said he was the woman’s roommate, told them Edwards assaulted him and broke several windows in the home. According to the incident report, the victim sustained several cuts and there was blood on his face.
He told officers that after a verbal disagreement turned physical, he managed to lock Edwards out of the house.
She allegedly began breaking windows from the outside, the report states. After interviewing the two, officers advised Edwards she was under arrest. She did not immediately comply with officers’ orders and continued to resist arrest, police reported.
After she was taken into custody, Edwards began to threaten officers, saying she would shoot and kill them when she got out of jail, the report states. Footage from officers' body cameras was included with the report.
