A 42-year-old trucker suffered minor injuries after his tractor-trailer overturned on Interstate 26 in Orangeburg County early Tuesday afternoon.

The driver lost control of the vehicle as he exited the ramp from Interstate 95 northbound to I-26 westbound near mile marker 169, S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Judd Jones said.

Medics transported the trucker to the Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Jones said.

Both westbound lanes of I-26 remained blocked for about two-and-a-half hours.

By early evening, both lanes were reopened.
