A Redmon Street business caught fire early Saturday morning. Officials believe it is suspicious and are investigating, according to a sheriff’s office incident report.
Orangeburg Department of Public Safety firefighters responded to the scene at 4 a.m. after being contacted by the sheriff’s office.
The building was engulfed in flames when firefighters reached the scene.

The robber then pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun at the victim.
When the two men were fighting, the gun discharged twice, the victim said.
Deputies collected the following items from the scene: a silver Taurus semi-automatic handgun, a black wig, a turquoise sneaker, two spent shell casings, a black hat and blood samples for DNA testing.
