Orangeburg Department of Public Safety officers are trying to locate a man accused of sending threatening messages.

Lavardis Brigmon, who’ll turn 38 on Monday, faces two counts of unlawful communication. He has addresses in Orangeburg and Elloree.

In late November 2017, Brigmon allegedly sent a series of texts to someone with messages like, “If I had a gun, I would shoot you.” Other messages promised to destroy someone’s property.

In another series of text messages sent between Jan. 20 and Feb. 2, Brigmon allegedly said things like, “b - - - -, you dead on that babe you got in yohr stomach” and “already put a hit on your a - -.”

Brigmon stands 5 feet 6 inches and weighs about 150 pounds.
