Orangeburg County Council will hold a special called meeting at 10:30 a.m. Monday to discuss a number of issues including the next round of the capital projects sales tax, council district priorities and operational and capital needs.

Other items on today's agenda include:

  • Second reading of an ordinance amending the zoning map of the unincorporated county to change the zoning designation for a parcel of real property from RG (Residential General District) to RC (Rural Community District).
  • Authorization of the county to enter into an intergovernmental agreement for a county magistrate to serve as municipal judge for the town of North.
  • A presentation by Peidmont Companies Inc.

The council will meet in Conference Room 200A at the Orangeburg County Administrative Centre, 1437 Amelia St., Orangeburg.
