A Bowman man is accused of shooting two Orangeburg residents in revenge for two other shootings, which authorities say ultimately stemmed from dissatisfaction over some bad crack cocaine.

Orangeburg County Magistrate Sam Daily on Friday granted a state request to deny bond on 28-year-old Rodney Jermaine Glover.

“Your bond is denied on all three charges,” Daily said.

Glover was arrested in connection with Tuesday’s shooting of a man and a woman on Banashee Circle. He was charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.

An investigator on the case told the court one of the victims remains in critical condition.

“That woman is still in the hospital fighting for her life,” he said. “We ask that bond be denied.”

The man wounded in the shooting incident was present for the bond hearing. He declined to speak.

Glover told the court the allegations against him are not true.

“It’s a mistake,” he said. “I’m telling you, it’s a mistake.”

When Daily asked the Bowman man about his criminal past, Glover mentioned a driving under the influence charge and another charge from a decade ago.

“Do you have anything to say?” Daily said.

“I suggest you give me bond,” Glover responded.

“That’s all you’ve got to say? Let me look through your rap sheet and I’ll make my decision.”

Dating back to 2002, that criminal history includes property crimes, shoplifting, an assault and battery charge and a pending charge of assault and battery with intent to kill.

Glover said that charge was supposed to have been dropped. According to court records, however, it’s still on the books.

Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said investigators believe Glover went to Banashee Circle on Tuesday night in retribution for a shooting Monday night that sent two different victims to the hospital.

On Monday night, two of three men inside a Maedrine Street residence were shot when two gunmen forced their way into the home.

Ravenell said that shooting stemmed from a dispute over the quality of crack cocaine.

“Glover is believed to have gone to the Banashee Circle address looking for the individual driving a blue vehicle from Monday’s shooting,” the sheriff said.

Authorities are looking for 24-year-old Terrance Shawan Johnson, also of Bowman, in connection with the Monday night shooting on Maedrine Street.

Anyone with information concerning Johnson’s location is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.

The multiple shootings (could be) blamed on "TAKING the" bad crack cocaine. But the choice was the killers as to whether to do the crack or not.

Bad crack. Not my problem. Send them away and never let them see the light of day again.

You gotta watch out for that unregulated stuff. Nobody to sue if things go bad. And let's face it, there is some bad cracks out there.

first off one crime has nothing to do with the other just because the two men are from Bowman. so please get ur facts straight and stop trying blame it on Glover from what happened on Maedrine st. Also the crimes happen around here because we have bad cops that don't want to do their job when called on the first time, n now u see the results... what a joke
