ORANGEBURG -- Lydia Salley Thompson, 94, widow of Clarence R. Thompson, of Orangeburg, S.C., passed away October 10, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2017, at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Lydia was born in Orangeburg County to the late Frank Salley and the late Eida Morgan Salley. She worked at Orangeburg Regional Hospital as a medical records secretary for many years. Lydia was a member of First Baptist Church of Orangeburg, and was the last surviving member of the Lydia Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her daughter, Salley Thompson Williams of Columbia, S.C.; two sons, John Frank Thompson (Brenda) of Orangeburg, S.C., and Elwood 'Woody' Pringle Thompson (Margaret) of Summerville, S.C.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Clarence R. "Buddy" Thompson Jr.
