NORTH LITCHFIELD BEACH -- Eva Tolson Baroody, 90, of North Litchfield Beach, and formerly of Orangeburg, passed away peacefully at her home, Saturday, November 4th, 2017.

She was born on June 24, 1927, in Dillon. She was the daughter of the late Wade and Mary Kelley Tolson of Florence. Eva was married for 39 years to the late M.A. (Tootie) Baroody of Orangeburg. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Orangeburg. Eva attended the University of South Carolina and Duke University and received a RN degree from McLeod Infirmary, where she taught surgical nursing and was head nurse on the 6th floor.

In 1964, Eva and Tootie moved to Orangeburg and started their business, Orangeburg Distributors Inc. Eva loved her life in Orangeburg. She had many wonderful and dear friends. They enjoyed being together and never missed the opportunity to celebrate life. Whether it was South Carolina football games, supper clubs or gatherings at home, Eva always enjoyed having a good time.

She is survived by her daughter, Georganne Baroody Byrd (Wayne); son, Murray Arthur Baroody Jr. (Marley); five grandchildren, Wallace A. Mullinax III (Kristen), Hollis, Alex, Grace and Evelyn Baroody; a dear niece of the home, Mary Alice Ruben; three sisters, Dorothy Moore (Bernard), Emma Fairey and Roseanne Marion; many nieces and nephews; and her loving caregivers.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
