HAINES CITY, Fla. -- Clarence Govan Stroman ,80, of Haines City, passed away Sept 7, 2017 at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Davenport, Fla.
Mr. Stroman was born May 11, 1937, in Orangeburg to the late Laurie and Elizabeth Stroman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Jo Alice Hughes Stroman; sister Laura Pendarvis; and brothers Eugene, Clifton and Harold Stroman.
Survivors include his wife of nine years, Glory Roth-Stroman; two sons, Tony Stroman of Roanoke, Va., Craig (Crystal) Stroman of Gaston; one daughter, Sandy (Don) Stafford of Daleville, Va.; three grandchildren, Adrienne (Gabe) Bolt, Kevin Stafford and Emily Stroman; two great-grandsons, Aiden and Blake Bolt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Clarence was a member of Rivelon Baptist Church and former owner of Fire Equipment Co.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at Rivelon Baptist Church in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Kevin Ard officiating.
