Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office

An Orangeburg man says he was pistol-whipped and robbed after leaving a woman’s apartment, according to a sheriff’s office incident report.

The man called deputies at 7:54 p.m. Thursday to report the incident that happened around 5:10 a.m.

The man said he met a woman in the Chestnut Street Bi-Lo on Tuesday. They exchanged phone numbers and began texting each other.

He said the woman invited him to her Representative Circle apartment where he believed the two of them would engage in sexual activity, the report said.

After he arrived, the woman talked on her phone for 45 minutes. He decided to leave.

As he entered a stairwell, about five to six men began to assault him at the same time, the report said.

He said the men took all of his clothes and stole his personal items: a gold Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge cellphone, a black LG touchscreen cellphone, a pair of gold earrings, three gold chains and a black Nike hat. One of the chains had a gold Jesus charm.

After the men stole his belongings, they asked him for the keys to his vehicle. He told them that he didn’t know where to find them.

The men pistol-whipped him in response.

The men then returned his clothing and advised him to “get the hell on.”

He then went home and decided to contact law enforcement about it later in the day.
