DENMARK - Denmark will hold a March of Dimes March for Babies event, sponsored by the Eta Gamma Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday, June 17, at Voorhees College Track Field in Denmark.
Individuals are invited to form teams in an effort to support the national March of Dimes campaign. Participants can walk or run relay style and camp around the track. When not on the track, participants can enjoy other activities.
Money raised will support March of Dimes in South Carolina with programs that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. The money also helps fund research to find answers to the serious problems - like premature birth - that threaten babies. The goal is to raise $2,000 at the June 17 event.
