A Moncks Corner man is facing a reckless driving charge after he struck two tractor-trailers on Interstate 26 at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, according to S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Judd Jones.

The 23-year-old, who was driving a 2010 Acura, received minor injuries when he left the eastbound lane of traffic and struck two tractor-trailers in the westbound lane at mile marker 135, Jones said.

The Acura first struck a 2015 Freightliner driven by a 29-year-old man.

Next, the Acura struck a 2006 Kenworth driven by a 33-year-old man.

Neither of the men were injured.

The 2006 Kenworth overturned in the median. It was hauling concrete, Jones said.

Traffic in the area was at a standstill until one lane in each direction of traffic opened.

Jones said all lanes of traffic were opened around 4:30 p.m.
