A St. Matthews man was arrested for pointing and presenting a firearm following a fight between two children.
A resident of Mack Hill in St. Matthews reported Sept. 26 that after she and another mother, a Hungerpiller Street resident, had resolved a fight between two of their children, a man who lives on Fescue Trail in St. Matthews, had words with her and pulled a gun from his vehicle.
The woman said she punched the man in the face and he threatened to shoot her in the foot, the report states.
The woman had she ran into the house and called police. When an officer arrived on the scene, he observed the man hiding the weapon, a Hi-Point C9 arrived on scene and observed Mr. Robinson hiding the weapon, a Hi-Point Model C9 9mm pistol, behind a couch on the front porch, according to the incident report.
When the man was arrested, police seized the weapon and $200, the report states.

A loss prevention officer for Bi-Lo Stores reported Oct. 9 that he caught an Orangeburg employee taking $966 worth of cigarettes from the store. The employee will be arrested and charged with breach of trust, the report states.
A School Resource Officer responded to Calhoun County High School where a 16-year-old female student was allegedly assaulted by another female student in the classroom, according to an incident report.
The suspect reportedly approached the victim in the hallway and again in a classroom, grabbing her by the hair and throwing her to the floor, the report states.
A report on the incident will be forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice, it was noted.

- A resident of Maxcy Street in Orangeburg on Oct. 10 reported that his wife's car had overheated and she had parked the orange 2012 Dodge Journey on the side of Interstate 26 at the 139 mile marker. The vehicle was gone when someone returned to get it, the report states.
It was determined that the Dodge Journey, valued at $14,000, had not been towed by the Highway Patrol, according to the incident report.
- A resident of Hardware Street in Elloree reported Oct. 15 that her 15-year-old nephew called her and told her that his mother had put him outside the house and then gone out partying and drinking.
The teen's aunt told Calhoun County authorities she would pick him up and take him to her house for the night. According to the incident report, she indicated there had been previous allegations of abuse of the minor.
She was advised by law enforcement to contact the Department of Social Services about the situation, the report states.
- A Department of Natural Resources officer on Oct. 13 notified a deputy that he had an erratic driver who had run off the road and then turned into a residence on Wash Lane near St. Matthews. The driver then passed out behind the steering wheel of the vehicle, the DNR officer reported.
The deputy arrived at the scene and noted that the driver, a Summerton man, was asleep at the wheel and had a strong odor of alcohol on him, the report states.
The deputy placed the man under arrest for disorderly conduct, ABC violation and reckless driving. He was transported to the Law Enforcement Center and his car was towed.
- A resident of Garden Lane near Elloree reported Oct. 11 that someone had stolen her Chihuahua. The dog is valued at $1,000, the report states.
A resident of Lilac Court near St. Matthews reported Oct. 11 that someone had taken a six-foot step ladder from his house. The ladder is valued at $74, the report states.
