ORANGEBURG OUT OF THE PAST

Orangeburg High School, Junior Orchestra, 1947: Orangeburg High School has been known for its excellent band program through the years. Pictured above is the Junior Orchestra from 1947. This orchestra consisted mainly of underclassmen who would be promoted to the Senior Orchestra when they became upperclassmen. “Pop” Gentry was the bandleader for all the bands at Orangeburg High School at that time.
