ORANGEBURG OUT OF THE PAST

Shuler and Smoak, 1928: For many years Shuler and Smoak supplied Orangeburg area farmers and gardeners with their feeds, seeds and fertilizers. They were located on St. John Street between the Orangeburg County Jail and Middleton Street. Pictured above are several employees in front of the store in 1928. Those identified are Tom Burke on the left and a Mr. Sharpe on the right.
