ORANGEBURG OUT OF THE PAST

New Tri-County Hospital, 1937: This past week has been National Hospital Week across the country. Pictured above is Orangeburg’s new modern hospital that had just been built on Carolina Avenue in 1937. This facility, along with several expansions, faithfully served the needs of the area until 1981 when the current hospital was built on the St. Matthews Road.
