Shown above are the organizers and officials of the first Orangeburg County Fair in 1911. Left to Right: J.W.H. Dukes, Capt. J.H. Claffy(president), Thomas W. McCants, J.W. Smoak, Jerry M. Hughes(secretary and manager), Milton Jeffords, Norton Hayden. All of these except Mr. Jeffords, who was the midway secretary, were members of the board of directors for many years.
