Miss Sara Elizabeth Fowler and Mr. Julius Martin Weathers, both of Columbia, were married on Sunday, December 31 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Ridgeland, S.C.
The bride is the daughter of The Honorable Deborah Ann Malphrus and Mr. William Newton Fowler, of Ridgeland, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert H. Fowler, Jr., the late Mr. Fowler, of Columbia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph N. Malphrus of Ridgeland.
The groom is the son of The Honorable and Mrs. Hugh Ervin Weathers, of Bowman, S.C. He is the grandson of Mrs. C. Wallace Harper and the late Marion Rhett Gramling of Gramling, S.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Martin Weathers of Bowman.
Taylor Coryn Marcus served as Maid of Honor and Keri Alexandra Eadie served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Hannah Marie Brooks, Caroline Tracy Culbertson, Emily Logan Dobson, Sarah Wylie Fishkind, and Cailey Ann Rowe. Abigail Kidwell was the flower girl.
The groom’s father served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Gill Fitzhugh Weathers and Edward Morris Weathers, brothers of the groom, Kyle Henry Bolton, Robert Frank McCurry, Tyler Hampton Rogers, and Edward Davis Roth. Brann William Fowler, brother of the bride, served as an usher.
Following the ceremony a reception dinner with dancing was held at Tabby Place in Beaufort, S.C. Family and friends celebrated Sara and Julius and their marriage and together they brought in the New Year.
After a honeymoon trip to The Cloister, the couple will reside in Columbia.
