Rivers Bridge State Historic Site near Ehrhardt will once again offer ranger-guided hikes down its scenic hiking and battlefield trails during its First Day Hike on Jan. 1, 2018.
John White, interpretive ranger at Rivers Bridge, said the groups will stop along the way to talk about both nature and history topics related to the park.
The hike, which is free, will get under way at 10 a.m. at the park office on New Year's Day. Those planning to take part are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring water, insect repellent and a camera.
Rivers Bridge State Historic Site is located at 325 State Park Road, Ehrhardt, SC 29081.
