Ott - Myers

Marley Elizabeth Ott and Thomas William Myers were united in marriage at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Branchville United Methodist Church in Branchville, S.C.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton (Toni) Ott of Branchville. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Loraine Ott and the late Mr. Thomas Ernest Ott and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Hightower, all of Branchville.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas (Vickie) R. Myers of Spartanburg, S.C. He is the grandson of Mrs. Julia W. Myers of Pawleys Island, S.C. and the late Mr. Thomas Clinton Myers and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Guffey of Moore, S.C.

Reverend Wayne Mobley officiated the ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

Matron of honor was Heeley Wyatt of Spartanburg, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Mrs. Brandi Boan of Branchville, S.C., cousin of the bride; Miss Summer Lane of Chapin, S.C., friend of the bride; Miss Rebecca Scott of Lexington, S.C., friend of the bride and Mrs. Michelle Stegall, of Spartanburg, sister of the groom.

The father of the groom served as best man.

Groomsmen were Mr. Phillip Key of Spartanburg, friend of the groom; Mr. Christopher Miller of Gaffney, S.C., brother of the groom; Mr. Rand Stegall of Spartanburg, brother-in-law of the groom and Mr. Walker Wyatt of Spartanburg, friend of the groom.

Attendants were Miss Brittany Hess of Branchville, friend of the bride and Miss Emily Wyatt of Spartanburg, friend of the bride.

Flower girl was Lizzie Boan of Branchville, cousin of the bride.

Ring bearer was Harper Stegall of Spartanburg, nephew of the groom.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Mrs. Gayle McAlhany, Organist and Mr. Russell Clifton Ott, Soloist, father of the bride.

Following the ceremony a reception was held in The Garden Room in Orangeburg.

After a wedding trip to Grenada, the couple will reside in Moore, S.C.

Mrs. Myers is a 2010 graduate of Branchville High School. In 2014, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Newberry College. She is currently employed with W. Metts Engineering Co., Inc., in Branchville, S.C.

Mr. Myers is a 2009 graduate of Dorman High School, and in 2013 he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina Upstate. He is currently employed with Spartanburg School District Two at Rainbow Lake Middle School as a sixth grade social studies teacher.
