ELLOREE -- Charles Edward Conley, of 1704 Midway Road, Elloree, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 10, 2018, on his 74th birthday.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elloree, with Pastor D. Mitchell Evans officiating. Visitation will be in the church social hall from 1 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Mr. Conley was born in Hagan, Georgia, on March 10, 1944. He was the son of the late Leonard H. and Mattie Lou Cowart Conley. He retired from Southern States, formerly Gold Kist, as the regional turf sales manager. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Elloree. He also served in the Air National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Polin Conley; three daughters, Selena C. Bedenbaugh (Michael), Laura C. Bryant (J. Robert Bryant Jr.) and Anna C. James (Will); a son, Charles Wayne Conley (Brandi); five grandchildren, Amber Bryant Ott (Thad), Madison Parker Bedenbaugh, Millie Ann James, Jessica and River Conley; four brothers, Junior Conley, Frankie Conley, Billy Conley and Ellis Conley; five sisters, Laverne Cannon, Shirley Crosby, Kathy Cason, Betty Sue Scarborough, Pansy Smith and the late Joyce Harrell.
