Trick or treat?

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Today I took my normal route to work, a route that took me right past where a man was recently apprehended by local authorities after they noticed his van was stocked full of illegal firearms and bombs.

As I drove by, the folks on the radio show I normally listen to were addressing Halloween pranks.

A new pair of shoes

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

The Prince of Orange Mall should feel like the kid with new shoes on the first day of school. Mall signage has been given an overhaul, the most obvious being the huge, yet tasteful electronic sign at the mall’s main entrance.

The arrival of the new electronic sign has sparked much conversation in the community. Many are wondering what the mall may be planning or what the future holds for the retail/commercial vacancies.

The watchers

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

They sit on boxes, buckets, pallets and old furniture. Sometimes they sell fruit and fresh vegetables. They wave to each car that drives by…

The store has long been out of business, yet every day they come.

If you are wondering why I haven’t blogged in a while a quick glance @ TheBulldogzone.com will help you understand.

The past few weeks I have been busy preparing our S.C. State football site for the season… with hopes of it becoming comparable to the coverage Clemson and USC specialty sites provide.

Hunting for satisfaction

It’s almost here…

A few weekends ago I helped a friend put up a stand. Today, I lost my train of thought – daydreaming of ammunition and scent covers.

By this time next week, I hope to have bagged the buck that eluded me last year.

Helping those who help others

Friday, July 31st, 2009

It isn’t often that you see your priest, pastor, reverend or rabbi cry. As spiritual advisors, life coaches and guardians of the sacred words in a faith a person follows, they are often exalted. You go to them for help. You need them. They provide the strength when you don’t have it.

So, what happens when they need you?

We have some community bloggers that have not been updating as often as promised… We will begin a major redesign soon, and those community bloggers should not be surprised to see their blogs dissappear.

That being said, if you would like to write for TheTandD.com as a community blogger, let us know. We may soon have some space available.

A real man

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

I just watched the video footage from the 2008 shooting of S.C. state trooper Cpl. Q.M. Brown.

My first thought after watching the footage is that Cpl. Brown is a real man.

Not once did he panic, not once do you hear him complain, not once did he show weakness. (more…)

Night golf

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

Seems Kountryside Golf Course is having another night golf tournament this week.

The par-3 (9-Hole) night tournament is scheduled for Friday, July 24, beginning at 8:30 PM.

Kountryside Golf Course is noted for hosting exciting night tournaments, and many who enjoy the sport profess that coon hunting isn’t half as much fun as swatting a glowing golf ball in the dark. Kountryside is also known for its innovative and imaginative design, that has been featured on the Golf Channel.
