SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — The Dorn VA Medical Center is opening a new outpatient clinic for veterans in South Carolina’s Upstate.

Officials with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Columbia said Thursday the new clinic in Spartanburg is larger and allows for expanded services. The new clinic opens Monday and will focus on primary and mental health care.

Officials say the old clinic has seen more than 2,800 patients this year.

Veterans seeking specialty treatments, inpatient care and emergency services will still be seen at the Dorn Medical Center in Columbia.
