On June 20, four South Carolina Sons of the American Revolution Colonial Ball debutantes were honored with a tea at the Woman's Club of Columbia's Sims-Stackhouse historic mansion.

The debutantes included Britney Alicia Rast of Orangeburg, whose patriots are Lt. Samuel Montgomery and Pvt. George James; Martha Whitney Bellows, whose patriot is Capt. George Givens; Lauren Glenn McCarter, whose patriot is Pvt. James Glenn; and Isabelle Pinckney Caskey, whose patriot is Pvt. William Gainer.

Approximately 100 women and girls gathered to pay tribute to the debutantes and their ancestors. Hostesses were Faye James Pender, Eliza Pender Foster, Margaret Ellen Pender and the late Margaret Chandler James.
