HOLLY HILL -- Holly Hill United Methodist Church will celebrate its homecoming this weekend, Oct. 11-12.

As part of the event, The Loafers will perform in concert Saturday evening. The group, started by members of North Charleston UMC, sing familiar songs of the 1950s and '60s. A cookout will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7 p.m., at the picnic shelter (weather permitting) behind the church. Those planning to attend are asked to bring lawn chairs.

On Sunday, former pastors Jerry Phillips and Albert Cox will be participating in the church's worship service. A covered dish lunch will be served after the service, with baked chicken and ham from the Parish House provided by the church.
