28 injured in S.C. bus crash, none seriously
By The Associated PressFriday, August 29, 2008WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. - Authorities say a wreck between two school buses near Airport High School in West Columbia has injured the two drivers and 26 students, none of them seriously.
Lexington School District 2 officials say the collision happened around 8 a.m. Friday on state Highway 302. One bus was empty, while the other had 46 high school students on board.
The district says the drivers and 26 students were taken to hospitals and doctor’s offices for treatment for back and neck strains or removal of glass.
School officials say none of the injured were admitted to the hospital.
The state Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
