City of Orangeburg Parks

and Recreation Department

Some spots remain

for football registration

The city of Orangeburg has a few spots left for children ages 8-12 to play tackle football. Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. League age is determined by the child’s age on Nov. 30. Fees are $20 for city residents providing proof of residency and $40 for non-city residents. A copy of the child’s birth certificate must be presented at registration. For more information on the football program, contact Ike Haigler at 533-6020 or ihaigler@orangeburg.sc.us

Senior bingo

Bingo for seniors ages 60 and up will be held at the Zimmerman Community Center on Peasley Street each Wednesday in August. Play will begin 8:30 a.m. and end at 10. Prizes will be awarded to the winners and juice will be served. Contact Kayla Stroman at 533-6020 for more information.

Clogging registration

If your child is interested in having a foot-stomping good time, register for clogging. You may still sign up for classes that will begin on Sept. 2. Classes are available for all levels of experience for children ages 3 and up, and are directed by Celeste Smith. Call Jacquelyn Fogle at 533-6020 or email jfogle@orangeburg.sc.us for more information or to receive registration information by mail.
