The Orangeburg Consolidated School District 5 board met briefly Monday to prepare for Superintendent Melvin Smoak’s performance evaluation for the 2007-2008 year. The board made no decision about when it will hold its annual evaluation.
The session was held to inform three new trustees on the evaluation process.
An annual evaluation is required by the district’s employment contract with the superintendent, which extends through 2009, and by district policy.
