Clemson opens ACC tournament against top-seed Miami

CLEMSON (AP) — Clemson opens play against top-seeded Miami in the round-robin Atlantic Coast Conference baseball tournament next week.

The Tigers finished 30-25-1 overall and 11-18-1 in the ACC. Clemson finished one game ahead of Duke in conference play to get into the tournament.

In the ACC tournament, the teams are broken into two divisions and each plays three games. The teams with the best record in each division meet Sunday for the title game.

Division A consists of top-seeded Miami, No. 4 N.C. State, No. 5 Georgia Tech and No. 8 Clemson.

Division B consists of No. 2 Florida State, No. 3 North Carolina, No. 6 Virginia and No. 7 Wake Forest.

The Tigers will play at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Jacksonville, Florida.
