CLINTON, S.C. - Presbyterian has added two coaches as it begins its second year of Division I football.
Head coach Bobby Bentley said Thursday that one of his former players at Byrnes High, Jomar Wright, will coach Blue Hose running backs and Doug Malone will become offensive line coach.
Wright helped Bentley win the first two of four straight state championships in 2002 and 2003.
Wright joints Presbyterian after a stellar career as a Duke wide receiver. He takes over for David Crane, is now head coach at Southeast Whitfield High near Dalton, Ga.
Malone was Western Carolina’s offensive coordinator last year. He also worked at Tennessee Tech, where he served as coordinator, interim head coach and assistant athletic director.
Malone replaces Scott Frazier, who becomes head coach at his hometown Williams High in Burlington, N.C.
