Spring tour to highlight private garden displays

CHERAW -- Spring is in the air as the Four Seasons Garden Club of Cheraw prepares for its fifth annual Cheraw Garden Tour, set for 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 17.

Visitors will have the chance to explore eight private gardens at their own pace and take in the history and beauty of the historic district.

Tickets are $17.50 in advance and $20 on the day of the tour. Tickets include admission to all gardens; four short demonstrations on flower arranging, garden photography, planting a large pot and preserving flowers; and a reception with refreshments and entertainment at an estate in the midst of the historic district.

Carriage rides in Cheraw's historic district are available for an additional $10.
