'Summertime' show opens with May 24 reception

Edisto Beach's Fish or Cut Bait Gallery will kick off its season by honoring Beaufort artist Mac Rogers with a rhapsodic remembrance of George Gershwin.

The "Summertime ... And the Livin' is Easy" art show begins with a meet-the-artists reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 24. Other artists featured at the show will be 16-year-old John Henry Tecklenburg of Daniel Island and Charleston jewelry designer Sharon McLean.

The "Summertime" show will run through July 31 at Fish or Cut Bait Gallery, which is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
